The neighborhoods of Fishtown and Queen Village are starting to become over-saturated with people putting up wheatpastes. I’m a fan of wheatpastes too, but many of them are the same and it’s become a trend that’s getting annoying, but not as annoying as yarnbombing.
Regardless, this new wheatpaste on Front Street in Fishtown is absolutely wonderful. To say that I love it, would be selling it way short. Never before has a piece of street art so perfectly exemplified the mood of a city. “We are Philadelphia. Fuck you.” Perfect.
