Throughout the course of my weeks in North Philadelphia, I often gaze upon the scores of abandoned houses and buildings and wonder about once was. It makes me wish I had a time machine to be able to see what North Philly was before it began to crumble and enter a possibly irreversible state of decline.
One such building I often see and think about is the Red Bell Brewing Company on 31st and Jefferson. You can read more about this now defunct business here. It’s an amazing, albeit tragic story. This company used to have a brewpub at the First Union Center!
