If you have never been to the Philly AIDS Thrift Shop on 5th and Bainbridge, you’re sorely missing out on what is, in my opinion, the greatest thrift shop in all of Philly.
They have so much awesome stuff there. Books, vintage board games, tons of clothing, electronics…you name it. It also raises lots of money for a great cause. There is literally nothing to hate about this place, and my favorite thing about it is this amazing discussion between cardboard cutouts by the main entrance.
We have Sarah Michelle Gellar as Buffy the Vampire Slayer talking with a cutout of a police officer named “I.P. Freely.” Their conversation goes as suchL
Officer: Hello citizen! Thank you for shopping at P.a.T. Please check your bag at the front counter before shopping. You are hot by the way.
Sarah Michelle Gellar: Thank you, Officer Friendly. I have checked my bag and am now ready to begin my shopping adventure. Nice sword by the way!

But cops don’t carry swords…unless she means…oh. I see what happened here.
