Oh dear god…WHY? WHY? WHY? WHY? Why do so many people in this city suck at spelling? This is an absolute embarrassment.
There I am, driving along 5th Street in the Olney neighborhood of North Philadelphia after eating my delicious meal at Nick’s Charcoal Pit in South Philly, when my passenger notices this business that has a glaring misspelling in its name. This isn’t a play on words or anything like that. This is just an outright blatant mistake. The word is influence, not “influance.” As if that wasn’t bad enough…the word is misspelled twice on the same sign.
*Shakes head* This city. This fucking city. I need a drink. Skip the glass, I’m drinking straight from the vodka bottle tonight.
**Update: Good thing I didn’t start drinking because apparently this word misspelled on purpose. “Influance” is a brand of hair products. I could have researched this, but why the hell would I go through that amount of effort? It’s a lot easier to assume someone fucked up the spelling. Whatever. My bad!
